Westward Ho! Day 3 — Wild Weather & Wide Open Spaces!

Westward Ho! Day 3 — Wild Weather & Wide Open Spaces!

Woke up to flooded fields after a surprise Arkansas storm! So thankful "Buzz" kept us snug. After drying out, it was off to Rudy's BBQ in OKC (yum!) then onto the prairie!
Quick extra: Some of the Grandparents are adventuring with us as well for a few weeks!
The landscape totally transformed – smaller trees, vast plains, and a sky that goes on forever! The kids were mesmerized by the waving grasses, hay bales, cows, and giant windmills. We even dipped our tires onto Historic Route 66!
The Oklahoma wind was FIERCE driving to our Harvest Host (also on Route 66!). Turns out, we were under a TORNADO WATCH!  Thankfully, we were safe, though a twister & big hail were just north. Caleb was a champ navigating those gusts!

Best part? The kids turned the crazy wind into an epic pioneer game – pure joy! Henry’s ready to move to Oklahoma now! We keep saying, "If you love this, just wait!"
