Recipe: Strawberry Mint Refresher

Recipe: Strawberry Mint Refresher

One of the best things about summertime is all the fresh fruit. During the summer, it is almost impossible to catch us outside without some form of fruity, iced tea or lemonade in hand. At Piper and Leaf, we love plain jane iced tea, but during the summer there is something about sipping on a sparkling fruity tea that just hits the spot. So, in spirit of savoring all these wonderful summer delights in one, we decided to test out a recipe for something truly refreshing... quite literally.

This strawberry mint refresher is everything we love about summer, wrapped up in a glass of sparkling goodness. With the sweetness of local strawberries in Strawberry Shindig taking the spotlight, topped with a burst of sparkling lemonade and a hint of mint, trust us, this is our (and hopefully your) new favorite way to savor one of our fruity favorites during the summer heat.

Strawberry Mint Refresher

Ingredients:

2 oz Strawberries

1 oz Strawberry Shindig Tea Concentrate

2 oz Sparkling Water (or Club Soda)

1 oz Lemonade

1 tbsp Lime Juice

1 tbsp Mint Simple Syrup

2 Mint Leaves

Directions:

Throw your strawberries, lime juice, and mint simple syrup in a jar (or shaker) and crush until the strawberries are well broken down. Add sparkling water and lemonade into the jar, place lid on jar, and shake until combined. Add ice into your jar or pour into a glass over ice and garnish with the mint leaves and any leftover strawberries. Enjoy!
